Having a sinus thing has kickstarted the mother of all tinnitus episodes. (Original Post) GreenPartyVoter May 2013 OP

I hope it does. I have had it all my life because of the hearing loss, but it always came and went. GreenPartyVoter May 2013 #2

Hmmm That's interesting. I don't recall if I experienced any changes when I wore one as a kid. GreenPartyVoter May 2013 #4

But it isn't directly related to any sinus condition. It might be your trouble is related to the pollen content in the air. Mine started from working around jets while I was in the Navy. I haven't pursued it through the VA because I know they would give me a hassle and it would take a long time and still get nowhere. Hopefully you will notice an improvement when the air clears up somewhat.

This constant high-pitched whistle and clicking are very annoying. I can't tell you how many times lately I thought I heard a timer going off in the kitchen, and it just turned out to all be in my head. LOL

I hear you on fighting the VA. Seems like an awful lot of the time the government that is meant to serve the people wants to do anything but!

For the most part, anyway. Now it's rare and much less intense when it does happen.

I don't know if that's a common experience.

I couldn't stand all the extra noise in the world. Turns out the sound of scuffing feet on gritty floors is just like fingernails on a chalkboard for me.

for the past week or two. Have had the tinnitis on my right side for 10 years or so but it recently got worse, with what seems like sinus/inner ear and a little vertigo. I'll see the doc next week but don't have high expectations. I hate it when waking first thing, when it is quiet, and that stupid noise is in my head! Probably time to see about a hearing aid.
