I live in

a HUD apartment .

The inspection of my apartment is coming up soon, I am so anxious. My counselor told me my apartment is clean I don't need to worry about it

My art room is a disorganized mess however. Been cleaning it up slowly.
But I procrastinate too.

Had a friend over and he helped me focus.

His help really helped me get out of the anxiety and freezing mode over de cluttering and putting things back on the shelves .

I hate housing inspections. I don't like my apartment being judged and ranked based on a unclear definition of what clean means. So my anxiety goes nuts wondering if it will pass inspection.

Despite what my counselor told me.

but I always feel much more positive when it gets organized. Slowly is good, just go at your own pace but commit to doing it. Might as well do it, this stuff doesn't organize itself. Good luck!

or for evaluation whether the premises are suitable and maintained? That is, are they worried about a slumlord situation? I would think it's not meant to judge your housekeeping, but perhaps I'm wrong.

I'd think they'd be looking for things like working smoke alarms, working plumbing, and the like.

But it's never pleasant having strangers invade our personal space, no matter the reason.

Just do the best you can and look forward to it being over
