Certified letter still a mystery.

The sender area read XXX ( 3 letters that usually indicate the county I worked for) and DHR. which i took to mean dept of human resources. Called them again today, and the assistant checked and said she sees no letter from them. I called my lawyer's office to see if they sent me a CL, no. But they were interested in what it was. I'm an beyond stressed and lost about this. I'm hoping it's redelivered tomorrow.

I don't need this shit. I'm worried its time sensitive important information

1. Send hr & lawyer an email

This leaves a virtual paper trail.

And save the notice of attempted delivery.

Usually, there is a time frame cushion to allow for delivery.

Pls keep us posted.

👍

I'd take it a step farther & scan images into computer & email them to myself & at least 1 other person for safe keeping. (Can you tell I've been screwed by life every way imaginable, and then some?)

In email, express concern about timing of delivery & a possible deadline passing.

For future ref, you can bcc lawyer, or just copy her or him in. Might be a bit of leverage in your favor.

If you don't fully document an event, it didn't happen (legally), or so they can argue.

Solid documentation will cut them off at the knees. 👍

The only way to handle 'those' parents is to make sure you document everything. It is also true with handling corporations and those who embrace bureaucracy.
