Mental Health Support
Related: About this forumI was feeling really grateful today and it was a nice change from feeling depressed and scared.
Its nice to have some days where I feel okay inside.
I was thinking, I had a very bad childhood. And it was so hard and awful.
But every year since then has been better and better.
The more I block my family of origin out of my life, the better my life becomes.
And now I am looking forward to my husband retiring
I will be so happy to have him at home
and we are thinking of moving to Tucson which is an area I love for many reasons. Just a couple more years.
Feeling grateful and blessed today. Thinking about sitting on the back patio, watching hummingbirds eat at the feeder I will put up. Life doesnt get much better than that, I think. Maybe hearing coyotes at night. Maybe swimming in the community pool.
I hope everyone here has something to look forward to, and small pleasures in every day life to enjoy now and in the future.

when we are dark and down, we easily forget that it wont always be that way. There have been, and there will be again, seconds/minutes/hours even days of joy. Our situation is temporary. Finding light takes work. The lighter days are our reminder that the work is worth the effort.
Thank you for the reminder.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
