Everything you've written makes me realize why...

…I spend so much time with my dog, Jenny, and her dog friends. They are non judgmental. They don’t care what you look like, what your failures are or what you’ve accomplished. They only care about love and kindness.

I understand your financial concerns. My spouse of 30 years moved out while I was at a doctor appointment and left me a note. I’ve been a 30 year trad wife depending on him for food, housing, and health insurance. Now I’m scrambling to get a hernia repaired, cataract surgery on both eyes, and a crown…all stuff I’ve been putting off because I didn’t want to inconvenience him by having to accompany me to surgery. At 63, my best hope for a job is retail or some kind of admin work. Our retirement savings was OK, but, split that and it’s not going to last long.

I only have faith, i don’t know what else to have. I wish I had more answers and I wish you were closer, Jenn & I would come visit with you.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
