these meds are not right

I;m awake for 36 hrs, then sleep for 4....not working for standard life. And yes I' seeing the shrink 10 days from now.

1. Sounds like not enough sleep. ( No I'm not a doctor).

I hear tell that a lot of symptomatology can be triggered or exacerbated by insomnia.

Can you see if the shrink can move you up a few days?

3. i second a phone call to the doc.

are these new meds? sometimes it can take a while to settle in.

if your doc has a med nurse, they can be truly helpful. i would think that at the least he might give you something short term to get some sleep.
sleep depravation can cause serious depression, among other things. you should take it very seriously.
