Just made a meal with the very first garden (mine) veg of the season.

Made two portions, each consisting of approx:

4 oz tilapia fillet, 1 cup green beans, 1 cup squash.

Splashed some olive oil in the pan, put the fish in, covered fish with the cut up veg. Added a sprinkle of Everglades seasoning and a few grinds of peppercorn. Stirred everything up ( including breaking up the fish) a couple of times letting it all simmer until a lot of the squash juice had simmered away.

According to the computer program I use the total per serving is approx: cal, 165; fat, about 3 gm; carb, about 14 gm; prot, about 25 gm.

Tasty.

share.

Eating like this, and going to the gym regularly, has allowed me to drop 4 waist sizes in my jeans while maintaining 200 lbs. At 5'8" that's much more than the BMI charts allow, but BF is down to 16%, and my health care provider doesn't seem concerned.
