I personally am a low carber... just was interested in doing an informal survey of what types of things you are doing to lose weight.

(17,298 posts)I too try to watch my carb intake and I also eat a lot of protein. I have issues with malabsorption and at times malnutrition so I really have to be careful.

I have never actually "cheated" per se, in the sense that I haven't eaten any high carb foods since I started, but sometimes I eat too much foods that I need to restrict. Especially nuts and cheese.
Still, overall, my health has improved tremendously.

(6,581 posts)I became a gym rat at 47, following a diet plan set up by a dietician, and exercising as much as possible. Had a great Friday night ride of about 19 miles. Gonna do it again tonight. Open trails, starlit skies = freedom.
