every time I try to access 1940 census my computer locks up

I have the ED for my great grandfather's address. But I sure can't pull it up.

Anyone else having trouble? Or is it just my rinky-dink rackety fratz ol' PC?

I was trying to use the NA's viewer.

I found the NA's viewer really slow and clunky. It was just easier to download madinmaryland May 2012 #1

1. I found the NA's viewer really slow and clunky. It was just easier to download

the entire ED and unzip the file. Then you can use your own jpeg viewer to read the pages.

It's my computer, I realized. The other computer in the house, on the same ISP line, is able to pull up the images, etc. Plus when I rejoined ancestry.com, things got much much easier. I lost a whole day yesterday just browsing 'round the census, and may do the same today!
