Made brussel sprouts tossed with garlic, olive oil and cut in half (they were small ones).

I sprinkled real grated Parmesan cheese when done. I cooked them for 25 minutes in an ungreased pan. They were all nice and crispy. They had been in the fridge for days after washing so they were dry. I will forever cut them in half again. No mush. Next time i might just try dipping them in an aioli individually. Saw that in a video.

I remember being 34 or so. A woman i worked with talked about how she loved brussel sprouts. I thought she was deranged.

They are great roasted (toss w/olive oil and salt and pepper, roast for about 20 minutes at 400)

Also if you want to be fancy - saute them in brown butter, then at the end stir in a spoonful of orange marmalade

I especially like to roast them with the little Yukon gold potatoes, also cut in half.

I usually cut in half or even quarter

marinade briefly in raspberry vinaigrette
throw on cookie sheet with some chopped (raw) bacon (the meaty parts, not a lot of fat)
for fun, add craisins too!

my kids actually call these "crack sprouts"

dice 4-5 strips of bacon. Sauté bacon, remove and set aside. Add a couple tbsps. butter to pan, sauté half cup or so of diced onion in the bacon grease/butter. Add brussels sprouts that have been cut in half or quarter if really large. Cook to you desired level of doneness, add cooked bacon back in; heat through, serve.
