Every one of those silly gadgets could be replaced by a sharp paring knife.

I do have a countertop suction slicer and grater that I really like. Last night I grated up a couple disks of that hard Mexican chocolate in minutes. I like Ibarra chocolate. Just pushed it through as I turned the handle. It also grates up a big chunk of cheese in no time & finely slices potatoes for au gratin & grates potatoes for hash browns: either par boiled or raw. I just push them through as I turn the handle. Inexpensive gadget to boot. I hope I don't sound like a commercial, but this is one gadget I use.

It particularly comes in handy when I have to grate a large amount of cheese for big pans of lasagna or cheese enchiladas.

It's a good small size and fits above the stove.

I'd import a picture, but I don't know how.
