Hard as a rock avocado on Thursday, sort to touch on Saturday.

Yorkshire Gold tea.

Maybe Danish butter cookies later with a decafe tea.

will have to check that out. It would be nice to have "fried" chicken without the stovetop mess.

Add some potato salad and baked beans and pretend it's summer!

Pasta with beef and tomato sauce (frozen from the garden), mushrooms too. I nuked a pile of it with mozzarella and parmigiana cheese this afternoon. Call it dunch and I had too much. I nearly had a pasta coma.

Tonight I'm planning on a simple baby spinach salad with hard boiled egg and a few veggies with vinaigrette.

FLFC seems to have eating issue lately, more than his pickiness would explain. He did reject my pasta with his usual disdain.

I got him to eat by hand feeding him. It is more appetizing if it appears to be from my plate. He had deli corned beef, sliced apple, peanut butter, pieces of a hamburger and pot roast. He got a chunk of yellow cake, at this point in his life we are not worried about a good diet, just calories.

Ah yes, the grass is always greener phenom.

I have two cats and I will put out two plates, same food.

Interesting how one will sniff hers indignantly, like "how dare you serve that to me!" and then go to the other plate with the same food and scrounge the leftovers.

I'll show you!!!

Sounds like FLFC did very well for himself this evening.

Their aloofness and arrogance is tempered by their need to receive and give affection as well as their love of play. Of many, my favorite through the years was a semi-feral cat born in the campground on Ocracoke Island, NC.

As I type this, FLFC just informed me that he thinks he didn't do well for himself tonight, I suspect he is recalling the cake and wants more. TJ goes to work soon and he will have a sad. It is tough having him so sick, but he is still the same little man he was eight years ago.

for your kind wishes. Unfortunately he is terminally ill with lung cancer. He is doing much better than the docs thought he would, but he is getting worse.
