Slice of pork loin with cream/parmiggiano sauce on top. The pork had been seasoned with white pepper and nutmeg and browned in butter and olive oil. Then there was a slice of prosciutto and parmiggiano over it, then the sauce.
Salad made with Brussels sprouts, apples, and toasted almonds. Previously, the almonds had been cut finely and marinated in a lemon mixture. Then they were toasted in the oven for 20" and put over the salad.
Brussels sprouts leaves are separated to make a leafy salad.
Almonds were marinated for 30" in lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, and sea salt.
Cannellinis with chopped celery and onion.
Dessert: bread and chocolate. The bread is sliced ciabatta; the chocolate is a hazelnut chocolate bar.

(43,124 posts)I have a sauerkraut stir fry with beef, broccoli, carrots, zukes. I don't allot a lot of time for cooking. It's whatever has been around the longest or what's on hand.
I eat more sauerkraut nowadays, ever since reading the colonic health benefits of refrigerated sauerkraut as opposed to canned. Refrigerated has lots of lactic acid. Am I remembering that right? I think so.

(6,078 posts)Ok, so I had Popeye's new spicy flounder sandwich and I do not recommend. I saw it on a commercial and just had to try it, but no. The batter was way too spicy for fish and I like spicy, I guess just not on fish. Also, it was a little dry. They need to add some more tartar sauce.
I still haven't tried the chicken sandwich.

(14,889 posts)the Instant Pot right now. Will finish it off in the oven slathered in BBQ sauce. Will cook potatoes in IP for mashed potatoes while chicken is in the oven. Corn salad as a side.
Kitchen is smelling good.
Leftover chicken will be used for chicken enchiladas, chicken stock for future use.

FLFC found some energy earlier and did an out in the snow. He is sleeping soundly.
i perused the leftovers and made a sort of burrito/wrap.
It is a soft flour tortilla with leftover chili plus cheddar cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, shredded lettuce, and tomato.
I'm still hungry so I'll have some more, but I don't know what yet.
