It's Valentine's Day so I'm taking the Landlady(!) to a rustic place in the mountains. They have socially-distanced tables and will be fairly empty tonight so we feel safe enough.

Their menu is quite an interesting variety and I'm leaning towards a venison steak while my Valentine is eyeing their grilled pork belly. If all goes well, I'll report back later!

Happy Valentine's Day to all who eat food!

That's what I've decided to call them

They are beef shin steaks. A search online said to cook them "low and slow" so I'm doing them in the slow-cooker, pot roast style. Potato, carrots and green beans will complete the meal.

Ice cream for dessert.

Low-carb diet, day 2, because my A1C was too high. The chicken is plain baked, but I cooked the zoodles with plenty of garlic, butter, and Parmesan. Dark chocolate for dessert.

didn't get to Chinese restaurant I'd wanted to try (for Lunar New Year), but found something Chinese in frozen food dept, which was pretty decimated: SOMEONE's version of General Tso's Chicken.

LOTS of great oranges: Cara Cara, now my faves, and later desert: B+J Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz ice cream (MAYBE with oreos.)

Home alone, hoping for decent TV.

Bet it was yummy! Probably would really make ground turkey or chicken taste way better! I am already planning! Haha. I bet awesome on a Hawaiian King roll. Slider style but I think they also make burger size now.

I picked up some beef pad thai and fresh rolls. They make a good peanut sauce for the rolls and I add it to my pad thai too.

Happy Valentines
