What's for Dinner, Sun., Febr. 21, 2021

We had lamb lollipops, mashed potatoes, and apple-fennel-walnut with tossed greens.

I am posting this from the BestBuy where I am waiting for my phone to be fixed. Couldn't get on until now.

Just finished half a baked potato with cheese and sour cream and 5 fried oysters. I think I’m finally full? We’ll see...

I hate it when the phone goes! I hope it doesn't take too much longer. I found the pots and pans so had corned beef hash, two poached eggs and an orange for dinner. GF coconut cookies for dessert. I had iced tea with dinner and will have a latte with the cookies. We have moved down to Austintown Ohio (we bought a Hud house when oldest started college for them to live in while going to YSU.) We moved to Cleveland for a job. Now the youngest has transferred to Cleveland so she is at that house...theoretically she has to carry some of the bills or back to YSU and she can live here. Everyone have a great week.

I have a very easy and KILLER GF shortbread cookie recipe for you.

Let me know!

Lentils, garlic, beef, Italian parsley, green peppers, broccoli with cumin, salt, mustard spices.

It was surprisingly good for something kind of thrown together.

Desert was a leftover pancake from breakfast. Whole wheat.

I spent much of the day on a smartphone manual. This is my first smart phone and plan to power it up this week. Nothing fancy because I really don't understand them. It's a Samsung, Q4 2018 I think, and complicated to me.

I didn't know I could use it for home or public WiFi, without phone charges or I think even activating it. Had I known this I think I would have done this months and months ago.

Al's daughter gave him 2 beautiful t-bone steaks for his birthday last month. We're sharing one tonight.

We had a side salad to start.

Also: roasted potatoes and buttered beets

There's ice cream for dessert

Made a shrimp cocktail with homemade cocktail sauce and pepperoncinis as appetizer.

Then marinated the rest in fresh minced garlic and lemon pepper seasoning. Cooked the shrimp “scampi style” after infusing the butter with garlic too. Served over fresh grits. Baked (white) sweet potato on the side.

Meanwhile folks wait in line for a bag of food and people in Texas have nothing to drink. Everyone should be as fortunate to be able to boast about having such a delicious and extravagant meal.

has addressed that issue. We have also been active participants in helping in whatever way we could, be in through sending technical advice and information, support, or $$.

I suggest you read up on this before you are so quick to criticize.

That wasn't criticism. That's a reminder to everyone at the disparity that exists and that people are needlessly suffering.
