Tossed green salad. I've got all kinds of lettuces and sprouts with which to make it. Romaine, ruffly red and green, radicchio, sunflower sprouts. I'm putting red and yellow peppers in it, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, avocado slices, and grated purple cabbage for additional color and crunch. Toasted sunflower seeds on top. Maybe a little crumbled goat cheese, too.
The RG is having a full bowl of cannellinis and vegetables, but I'm just having a cup. Brown sugar glazed salmon is my entree.
For dessert, strawberries in balsamic.

(22,252 posts)I am sitting here arguing with myself about heading to the kitchen to assemble the enchiladas.
This has been my attitude since Christmas; I have to talk myself into doing anything.
This is probably my form of cabin fever

(43,158 posts)Haven't been to the store in 2 weeks at least. Still 18 inches of snow hardened by ice. My driveway would be luge except for the path down the middle.
Dinner, therefore, is linguine, curled carrots, green beans, broccoli, garlic, a sprig of parsley, and scallops.
I do have WW flour, 2 eggs, olive oil, canned fish, various hot cereals, 2 potatoes, 2 onions, 3 small apples, and I could make a pizza.
But some of that is tomorrow's breakfast, 6 am. 7 am to the super!!

Beer. Fremont Brewerys Sky Kraken. Delish!
Its a hazy pale ale. I am not into India pale ales...
Have kettle corn or ice cream with raspberry preserves and sea salt choc. For later munchies.

(13,783 posts)I browned a chuck roast on all sides, poured in just a little water, covered it tightly and cooked it at 250 for five or six hours. Absolutely fork tender. Poured the juices in a glass and put in the freezer so I could get the fat off. Used the fat and flour to make gravy with the rest of the drippings. Mashed potatoes with cream and butter. Peas and carrots with butter. Yum!
