What's for Dinner, Fri., Mar. 12, 2021

Seafood.

First up is an appetizer plate which has salmon and tuna. The salmon is paired with grapefruit and orange, and the tuna on the left has a vegetable combo (scallion, corn, goat cheese, olives). There are also thin slices of beet. Herbs that decorate are dill and parsley.

Next up: shrimp over a bed of Coho salmon, sliced yellow tomato, sliced apple. Oyster mushroom. The shrimp sauce was mashed anchovies, garlic (smashed); capers (also mashed). Pinch of salt. Crema Mexicana and mayo. Lemon. Finely chopped parsley.

Dessert: sea salt caramel gelato.

I had sausage burger on a roll, cookie dough ice cream

You foodies know everything ... how do they, or do they, keep the cookie dough safe to eat? Can't eat raw flour for example.

If you remove the cookie dough from ice cream, can you bake it and make cookies?

We are having whiting (on sale quite mild) with lemon and butter sauce. Our sides were baked potatoes and steamed carrots with butter, lots of pepper and a bit of thyme. I made a pumpkin pie for dessert...it is cooling in the refrigerator now. I also made whipped cream...served with coffee and tea.
