Cooking & Baking
Related: About this forumI figured it out! I am one person and can eat expensive goat milk feta
over a week of greek salads and treat it like it is a protein. So i can justify the price ($22). What else can i do with feta? Anyone tried baked feta with tomatoes over pasta? It looks good on video.

(3,280 posts)It's delicious, and the feta gives the rich and somewhat unctuous spinach gravy a lovely sour boost that brightens everything up a little.

Cook the quinao, let cool.
Soak the bulgar wheat.
Looking for about equal volumes of quinoa and bulgar wheat after cooked/soaked.
Very, very lightly saute medium die of zuchini's, carrots, green beans (just about any veggie can work, use your imagination).
Then make a dressing with balsamic, and evoo.
Mix it all together (after draining the bulgar wheat of course).
Sprinke feta on top, or mix in.
You don't need salt because of the feta.
Best room temp or even slightly warm.

(4,897 posts)Ground lamb with feta. Look up a recipe for Tzatziki sauce to top.
Another option if you want to keep it vegetarian is to make the burger using Impossible Meat or Beyond Burger.

Ingredients are fresh or canned tomatoes, olive oil, onions, shrimp, white wine and finish with lots of
feta. Serve with more white wine and crusty bread.

(214 posts)You can make a pizza with pesto instead of sauce, halved grape tomatoes, some shredded cooked chicken, and feta scattered over everything.

(118,600 posts)the sauce of tomatoes and feta. I stirred it in and it cooked for a minute in the sauce. I also baked the Feta & tomatoes for 45 minutes. The tomatoes were 1/2 carmalized and burnt around the edges. My timer failed so i am not exactly sure how long. It was wonderful. I felt like i was in Italy. I will try cooking this again for 40 minutes. Definitely a keeper. I used no herbs. Didn't need it. I am going to tell everyone.

(118,600 posts)Instacart when they suggested goat feta and i said sure. I was shocked when i saw the bill. But i enjoyed it so much and thought to myself that is as expensive as the boneless, skinless, chicken breast i buy per serving. If you think about it a big chunck, 5 slabs i would say, has me eating better. Plus i am in love with the pasta dish i made tonight with it. I would buy it again if it makes so many meals as it seems to.
