Athena Cantaloupe

Wife brought one home last night. These things are HUGE!!! About 3 times the size of "normal" cantaloupe. They are sweet, firm, and juicy.
Anybody else tried one? Our local (18 miles away) Kroger has them 2fer $4.

most 'loupes at the Farmers Market each summer are the Athena variety - they are very good.

I know that have some variety of cantaloupe on weekly special. I'll have to pick one up to treat my cat. It's one of her favorites. I the mistake of getting her a packet of those "Crave" soft treats. Now, she's begging for them. Hopefully, she'll forget about them once she get her melon.

Especially watermelon juice. Even when he was very sick, he would drink all the watermelon juice I would squeeze out for him.
