Asparagus!

The family farm next door to my neighborhood has some for sale. I stopped there and got 2 bunches for my daughter and her family and a bunch for me. Oh my, so good!

I got asparagus from the grocery store. It's good, too.

The land used to be a state tree farm and the family bought it about 10 years ago. They have another farm, on the other side of town, which has been farmed by their family for over 100 years. State of Ohio honored the farm as a centennial family farm in the last couple of years.

They sell strawberries, blueberries, pumpkins, gourds and now asparagus. I would love to see them offer more veggies.

This is the first year I got asparagus from them, usually get it from the store. Such a treat!

3. I love it when people dining with me hate asparagus

Because I get thier portions,an aparagus feast! Never turned down an opportunity for asparagus.
Got some in my fridge.
Ate half of it for lunch..yummmm😻

6. My husband didn't like it

I fixed the asparagus and made a meatloaf, another thing he never liked. I am enjoying my dinner

12. There was little he wouldn't eat

When we first got married, he wouldn't try things, but over the years he got more adventurous. He loved my cooking, and I can't think of anything I don't like, so it worked out.

He passed away in 2017, and sometimes I make meals like this, all for me!

7. Yum..

I used to live out in the county n every year about this time, I’d take my little cutting knife n a basket n go to the U-pick n load up. I could eat my weight in asparagus! Now, I go to the farmers market that’s not too far n load up! Was fun back then n finally! Something I really like that’s good for ya😎

The pee in the middle of the night is pretty pungent.

My asparagus stinkpee sent my kitty right outta the bathroom. Walked in got near the toilet sniffed the air,gave me a weird look turned around and walked back out. Lololol
