Vegetarian for me tonight. I got the recipes from the Washington Post. They have a newsletter called "Plant Power," which has menus and recipes for vegetarian food.
Mediterranean Cauliflower Platter
This bountiful platter has something for everyone, with golden turmeric cauliflower, an herb-laden quinoa salad and pita wedges for scooping up all the fixins.
Except I'm grating my turmeric. Using the real thing.
On the side will be green olives; I love cauliflower with green olives. Good combo.
Dessert: raspberry sorbet.

(21,998 posts)Sort of a Tandoori chicken on the grill. The marinade is a mixture of Indian curry, cumin and spices that the Landlady(!) keeps in abundance.
On the side, chana masala - chickpeas in a spicy tomatoey sauce with peppers, coriander and ginger.
Basmati rice. Small green salad. Raita. Grilled pita bread.

(38,533 posts)The meatballs came in our "Farm to Families" box. I have no idea if they're any good or not. There are a lot of them. Put a lot of them in the freezer.
Side salad
dessert: homemade apple crumble with vanilla ice cream

(35,620 posts)over the last few days. They were perfectly ripened and I used them on cereal and on shortcakes for dessert.
Heavenly. Nothing like stawberries and whipped cream. I love the shortcakes, too.
Looking forward to more!
