I went to the Polish deli today to stock up for the weekend.
Tonight is panko-crusted sea bass, cucumber salad, and tossed green salad with chopped vegetables. I made the latter two. Green salad will have Caesar dressing.
For future meals I bought my fave stuffed cabbage rolls and several breaded pork steaks.
For dessert tonight, a truffle and some vanilla pudding with cold coffee.
In addition to the main course items, I bought numerous salads and jarred items like cherries, celeriac salad, etc. Here are a few shots I took of the deli. It's all Polish speaking, but if you speak English they respond in English. (The RG tells me the Poles speak often speak as many as four or five different languages.)

(43,062 posts)Everything has a chow mein flavor when you use ginger and black pepper, but it's good.

I made some brownies for dessert. (Al says to lay off the baked goods, but *I* wanted them, and there's a bunch of baking mixes in the cupboard.)
That store looks like a place where I could have a lot of fun.
Got Moderna #2 this morning. The fatigue has already set in. Good thing I made enough spaghetti so we can have some leftovers tomorrow.

(658 posts)We really don't have a deli here in Milton, FL. Nor do we have much of a selection of really good food in the area. We're left to learn how to cook for ourselves to get really good food.
My wife made pork tenderloin medallions with a mushroom garlic cream sauce, along with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a nice piece of Italian bread. I had a Yuengling lager to wash it down with. It was really good. The dinner was good too.
