(19,299 posts)with whatever dressing is in the 'fridge that strikes my fancy. I'll probably add some deli ham and provolone cheese to the salad, or perhaps shredded chicken. I doubt I'll have much else, it's been a long day.
I'll offer FLFC ham and chicken plus whatever else has been saved for him. I never know what he will eat.

(37,051 posts)There was a package of a frozen alfredo & noodles, I had frozen shredded chicken and because the mix was too pale in color, I added a handful of frozen spinach.
Dessert will be a bowl of frozen blueberries & mangoes.
Cold lime fizzy water.
Can you guess that Monday is wash out the freezer & fridge day?

(1,115 posts)(Salad in a bowl!), leftover tabouli, humus, and veggie burgers. Husband has salt water taffy for dessert, but that is a no go for my dental work. Probably I will go with assorted chocolate we keep in a Hersheypark tin.

PREPARATION
In a large mixing bowl, combine flours and salt.
In a small mixing bowl, stir together 200 grams (a little less than 1 cup) lukewarm tap water, the yeast and the olive oil, then pour it into flour mixture.
Knead with your hands until well combined, approximately 3 minutes, then let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.
Knead rested dough for 3 minutes. Cut into 2 equal pieces and shape each into a ball.
Place on a heavily floured surface, cover with dampened cloth, and let rest and rise for 3 to 4 hours at room temperature or for 8 to 24 hours in the refrigerator. (If you refrigerate the dough, remove it 30 to 45 minutes before you begin to shape it for pizza.)
To make pizza, place each dough ball on a heavily floured surface and use your fingers to stretch it, then your hands to shape it into rounds or squares. Top and bake.

(658 posts)Flour, water, and yeast, and a whole lot of kneading. The longer you knead the better and at least a 2nd rise. That's the trick. Kneading and a 2nd rise. Simple simple.... knead for about 20 minutes, and let it rise twice.
I'm a beer brewer so.... Water, yeast, and grain...
My first favorite is a place in Pensacola, FL called Tuscan Oven. They have a wood burning oven so theirs is much better than mine.

(24,889 posts)It's good to be home in the Catskills and it was a perfect day for grilling.
A nice rack of pork ribs slathered with honey bbq sauce. Grilled till they're falling off the bone.
Two-tone corn on the cob, buttered and salted and peppered then wrapped in aluminum for and put on the grill. Turn it every 5 minutes.
Romaine lettuce for the Landlady(!)'s garden which survived our absence highlighted with chopped vidalia onion, chopped fresh parsley with a Caesar dressing.
Sliced oranges for dessert.
I'm looking forward to sleeping in a real bed tonight!

(39,589 posts)Al and I had dinner with my sister and my dad. She made a really good pot roast (with mushrooms), mashed potatoes, green beans.
I decided not to wait until my birthday to make the creamsicle pie, so we had that for dessert. (Al was supposed to email me the picture he took of it, but it's not in my email this morning. I'll post when I get it.)
