My friend and I are going to Fuddrucker's tonight. We don't have one locally, but we have to go to an area
to pick up something for work. They have one there and one it's only 20" away.
I haven't been to one of those places in years, and my friend tells me they are completely remodeled and "Covidized." She says they still have the "buffet" for the toppings for the burgers, but it is very restricted, meaning the glass covers most of it. I always liked the idea of putting all the different toppings on a burger--the shredded lettuce, tomatoes, chopped or sliced, red or white onions, etc., plus all the rest like BBQ sauce, Texas petal sauce, jalapeno cheese, etc.
The "Covidized" part is that each person is issued a tongs and it's one-use. Then you put the tongs in a container and they are cleaned. They have food service gloves out, too, and you're asked to wear them when accessing the toppings.
Anyway, that's what my friend tells me and I'll find out more about how they did it later tonight.
I noticed in WF yesterday that they have one hot food bar open. Another grocery store around here had one open, too, but closed it within a week.
Anyway, burger and coleslaw for me tonight and if they're still serving brownies, I'll have one of those, too.

(6,251 posts)Don't judge - my sister loves their Seafood New Orleans and sautéed zucchini.
Their salad bar is open, but you must wear their provided, food-service gloves and you must wear your mask. It's the only place in the restaurant where customers are required to wear a mask; employees all wear masks.

(35,619 posts)It is the perfect food for the summer.
I stopped and picked up another one so I wouldn't run out.
I like to have them prepared in containers so I don't have to do anything except pull this cold, delicious treat out of the 'frig.
Prefer melon balls over cubes. I like to sprinkle Malden salt over them.
I hope you're feeling better, Bucolic.

(43,044 posts)I use my Balch Nutritional Healing book to the max. Much preferred to surgery. That's why I wouldn't go to the hospital.

Sides were an Asian veggie mix with lime & 5 spice and a tomato rice pilaf.
I almost continuously basted the chicken with sauce after it was seared.
Was super moist!
