1. We gave up on the home-grown tomatoes a few years ago.
The deer mowed them down before they could even flower. But tonight we are having BLTs with Ohio grown tomatoes AND sweet corn. I’m in heaven..

2. No deer where we live now,
but at our last house we had to fence the yard to have a vegetable garden, or even roses.

I normally don't get tomatoes until mid-September. Darn marine layer - but it does keep us cool!
