It's amazing what you'll eat when your CSA gives you things you don't know what to do with, or you just have too much. They included a recipe for a sandwich consisting of:
- your favorite hearty bread
- sliced sharp cheddar cheese
- chunky peanut butter
- thinly sliced cucumber
- sliced tomato
- thinly sliced sweet onion
I don't really like tomatoes so I left them off the sandwich, and I'm not even a fan of raw onion but the sandwich is actually pretty delicious. I love peanut butter and cheese and the cucumber and onion give it a nice crunch to compliment the hearty multigrain bread I used. I gave it a really heavy slather of peanut butter, I just love me my peanut butter!

(50,949 posts)parsnip cake. It sounded horrible, so I had to try it. It was great! So I'll get around to this one soon.

Bread of choice
Cream cheese with a healthy amount of dill and lemon zest stirred in, add enough lemon juice to make it spreadable
Thin sliced cucumbers
Fresh ground black pepper

(10,643 posts)really unique flavor. A1 steakhouse is no longer called steakhouse. Its just "brown sauce" and it's great on eggs
