I would have let Al make it for me, but I know he had a very difficult time getting to sleep last night (this morning).

3. I guess I'll have to bake one!

My son is coming up next weekend (with his lovely wife and my grandchild) for a meal. My twin requested chocolate cream pie. Believe it or not, my son doesn't care for chocolate, so I was thinking of making some lemon squares along with the pie.

I'll tell you what... You know you love your family when it's YOUR birthday and you want peach pie, and instead you do what you can to please everyone else. (Actually, it's twin's b-day too, and I'd bend over backwards to make her happy.)

My birthday's tomorrow. We're almost birth date twins.

So happy birthday to you and if I was near you, I'd bake you that peach pie.

Now as for breakfast for me, I'm starting off with watermelon.

Next up will be a toasted half bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with red onion.

Now if I could only find someone to bake it for me. Sigh!

8. I see those BBQ guys, the ones who set up a split drum in an empty parking lot

If they have desserts, I always get them too.
I can imagine the partner of the BBQ-er making them on Wed & Thur nights for the weekend sales.

I got the best peach crumble I ever had at such a place.
