Related: About this forumAnybody ever have avocado and shrimp salad? You put the shrimp
in the avocado and eat it out of the skin. My parents used to eat it all the time when we were kids. It was only for them. I've bought some canned cocktail shrimp. I have mayo. Lime juice. Should I add garlic?

(2,343 posts)I like it simple with shrimp. Lime or lemon. And a little salt.
If Im ever given a last meal, itll be boiled shrimp. Love shrimp!

(11,390 posts)Chicken salad is my favorite stuffing, but just filling the seed hole with a good salad dressing works, too. Garlic? Maybe - or you could use finely diced red onion (and I'd skip the mayo if you're using lime juice)
For your next avocado adventure, try cubing the avocado and mixing it with the shrimp (and tomatoes or beans, if you like) then serving it on top of lettuce.

(131,036 posts)and mixed in Renee's blue cheese dressing (the kind you keep in the fridge at all times). It was all pale green and white. Pretty. I put extra dressing in it and plopped it on a bed of lettuce and then tossed it. It was yummy. I love avocados these days.
