The weather took a turn today in western Montana...it's downright chilly. I'm making a rustic homemade tomato soup with grilled turkey, roasted poblano pepper and cheese sandwiches.

This is the base for the tomato soup: https://www.feastingathome.com/roasted-tomato-sauce/. It is a sauce recipe but I add a little chicken stock and cream and it makes the most beautiful soup. I have to run the tomatoes through a blender because my husband is a tomato hater. Ugh. It’s a bulletproof recipe and I have lots of jars of this sauce in my freezer.

actually and crisped the skin today. We had corn rolled in softened butter, sour cream, and feta with some red pepper flakes...everything was lactose-free! I have a gluten allergy and am lactose intolerant...so unfair! We had zucchini sauteed in olive oil with garlic, a bit of sugar, salt, and pepper...very tasty. For dessert, we had goody girl thin mint cookies (gluten-free) and a homemade Pumpkin Latte.
