I found a few cucumbers hiding under the leaves: they were huge, and, unfortunately, didn't have much taste. I'm looking for things to do with them, and would like to find some recipes that take advantage of their "understated" taste and not-quite-zucchini-like texture. I've found one Chinese recipe for stir-fried cucumbers and pork: has anyone else tried to cook cucumbers?

(4,674 posts)add cup of sour cream, cup of plain yogurt, tsp of lemon juice, 1/3 cup minced dill, some pepper, and tbsp of curry powder. Uses up a few big cukes. I make it with no salt but it's probably better with a little.

(2,674 posts)Not food, but good way to use too large cucumbers. Skin feels good and looks good after this treatment.
Make mixture 1/2 pureed raw cucumber, no peel or seeds, 1/2 plain yogurt. Smear on face, wait 10 minutes and rinse in cool water, pat face dry.
