Taking brother to airport. I have two honeycrisps and some Havarti to have on the way, along with a box of brown rice/pepper crackers.

It's amazing how cranky I can get when I don't feel well. Woke Al up and made his breakfast. Animals are up, have been put out for potty, and have been fed. My turn to eat.
So, how come Al can't take his plate of hot food and his hot cup of tea and go and sit down so that I have room enough in the kitchen to make my own breakfast???? Seriously, he was standing in front of the coffee pot, in front of the toaster-oven where my food was heating up....
GO SIT DOWN OUT OF MY WAY!!!!

(35,616 posts)and yes, sorry you are not feeling well. Did the tests come back? Is it Covid?
Maybe I'm being too nosey. Feel free to ignore me.

(38,526 posts)Not nosey at all, Cher, after all I did post about it the other day.
So, thanks for asking.
Must be some type of flu.
Hope you both are on the mend soon.
Now, on another note, having seen C & B'ers on this thread frequently have cheese toast, I grated some mozzarella when I arrived home from the airport and put it on a flatbread. Melted it at 350. Yum!

(32,916 posts)Let a thin slice of ham heat as the bread toasts, then put the ham on top of the crusty bread and top with swiss, cheddar or Provolone slices.
I like avocado slices- cherry tomato halves under mozzarella, pear slices under harvati

(35,616 posts)I am going to try the pear slices and Havarti next!
Thank you!

(38,526 posts)He'd sleep until noon, if I let him. But this morning he needs to make his way into Boston for a medical appointment.
I decided yesterday that I'd literally sleep "whenever." Damn the time of day. I went into the bedroom yesterday some time between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. and stayed there until around midnight. I was up for about an hour and went back to bed, waking this morning at 5:45. I didn't sleep the whole time, but it was restful.
Since I have no job to go to, I'm sticking to the plan. I'll sleep whenever I can no matter what time it is (though I may have screwed myself this morning by drinking 3 cups of coffee).
