Related: About this forumInstant pot chili
Browned the meat (stew meat. $6.99/lb. whew!)in a skillet first.
The saute' setting on the IP ain't that great for large quantities.
Threw it all in the IP with dried pinto beans, a beer, another cup of water for the beans, 1 package of Wick Fowler's 2 Alarm Chili Kit. Added a small can of chopped green chilis and a softened, chopped poblano.
Ready in about 30 minutes, dried beans and all.
FANTASTIC!
Maybe best chili I've ever made.

I get that.
I'm a Texan-by-marriage.
All my in-laws are Texans.
When they say 'no beans' I say "PISS OFF!"
It; MY pot, and MY beans, and MY chili and I'll make how-the-hell I like it.

I'm making chili today, and some salsa to go with it. ETA: with black beans.

I've used those and kidneys and pintos.
