What's for Dinner, Sat., Nov. 13, 2021

Mussels, cooked in ginger, garlic, onion, and tomato. Also bay leaves and scallion greens.

Side dish is broccoli rabe. For this, the RG made broccoli rabe cream. It consists of a beaten egg yolk and olive oil, to which chopped broccoli rabe stems and garlic are added.
A touch of anchovy paste.

Coho salmon which was baked with a sauce made of sesame seed oil, honey, and red pepper jelly. Toasted black sesame seeds on top gave a smokey taste.

Going out for dessert drinks and dessert shortly.

I like a spicy chili crisp sauce with mine. Dinner for one since the men in my household are away for the weekend. The quiet is lovely, I must say and I get to watch a tv show or two!

apples, dried cranberries, thyme, paprika, parsley, and chicken of course! I had a sandwich on Carbonaut gluten-free bread which is wonderful...best gluten-free bread I have tasted. I piled on lettuce and tomato and had a few chips on the side and some grapes too...simple but delicious.
