Does anyone know if you can freeze a honey-baked ham until Christmas? (Original Post)

No problem. Just take it out at least a day before and let it defrost slowly at room temperature and

That freezing ham is not recommended due to its high water content.
Ive never frozen a whole ham, but Ive frozen sliced ham like from an Easter ham, and it turned out fine.

It thawed and cooked fine.

then bake as normal. It will be delicious. I'm 72 and have cooked a lot of hams, frozen before and regular.

If it's spiral sliced or sliced it may get a little bit drier when you heat it up but it's ham - salty good pork - it'll be fine.

Coke or ginger ale, dark brown sugar and a dab of dijon mustard. Warm ham up in slow oven, basting often, at end turn up to higher temp to finish.
