Pasta tossed with cilantro pesto. I'm using bowtie (fusilli).
Crispy golden brown chicken breast, which I put in buttermilk for the afternoon, and then browned in a cast iron skillet.
Cucumber salad with onions in agave sweetened vinegar. Bits of red pepper to add color.
Just received an early Christmas gift from my brother: no-sugar chocolate-covered toffee. I'll have that with a cup of decaf for dessert.

(62 posts)I'm in the middle of a mountain of laundry, and will likely eat a pb&j sandwich. Your dinner sounds delightful!!

(43,148 posts)That's all. Way off kilter today. Ate 3 or 4 donuts and 1/4 pumpkin pie. And a banana. Or 2. So trying to mitigate that carb overload.

(23,313 posts)with a sprinkle of scallions on top. Steamed broccoli for the husband, air fried Brussels sprouts with a jalapeno vinaigrette for me.

(38,556 posts)There's leftover soup and some leftover pasta. Haven't made up my mind yet which I will have.
For dessert: I baked some cookies today. Apple Brown Sugar. It's one of those Betty Crocker mixes that comes in a pouch (add egg and butter). I highly recommend them.
bow-ties are farfalle, no?

(130,895 posts)I meant farfalle. I sometimes make mistakes when the words both start with the same letter.
It also happens when I can't think of a word. I can tell you what the first letter of the word is but I can't think of the word itself--for a while. Eventually it perks up to the brain.

(9,966 posts)made with leftover pork from the Mississippi pork roast and a ginger garlic stir fry kit I picked up on sale at Kroger. I might throw a couple tablespoonfuls of the gravy (it's quite spicy) into the sauce just for an extra kick. Served over Ming's "house rice" (half brown, half white--soak the brown in hot water for an hour before cooking, then cook just like white rice). I cook a big batch of rice and then have it for several meals.
