I’ll slather French bread rolls with garlic butter and parsley and toast them in the oven. Meanwhile, brown some hot Italian sausage in a pan, deglaze with jarred tomato sauce from this year’s garden and mix until we’ll combined with the sausage. Spoon the sausage tomato mixture into the toasted garlic rolls and top with provolone cheese and finish in the oven until the cheese is hot and bubbly. Serve with fresh basil on top. Tossed salad on the side.

There's nothing secretive so I'm going to make those! They sound delicious and easy and since I'm a lazy SOB, they'll work out for me.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, MontanaMama!

I’ve made them for years…they’re in our winter meal rotation. Here’s the recipe I started with but you don’t really need it. Enjoy!

It's very cold tonight in the Catskills so we need some fuel.

A large mixed green salad to start. Romaine lettuce topped with slices of hot house tomatoes, yellow pepper slivers, shredded carrots and thin rings of red onion along with Texas Toast garlic croutons. Crumbled Roquefort cheese along with olive oil & Balsamic vinegar as a dressing.

Broiled NY strip steaks (medium rare) with homemade Bearnaise sauce on the side.

The meat will be accompanied with hash browned potatoes flavored with onions and green peppers.

Vanilla ice cream for dessert and maybe a snifter of brandy. We've started playing holiday music and decorating so party on.

that meal sounds yummy-delish and the music and decorating just add to it. 'Tis the season.

I just let everybody else decorate and I enjoy their decorations. I do, however, have some awesome Christmas computer wallpaper.

Talk about lazy.

Actually, the Bearnaise sauce that Knorr makes is okay but it has too much sodium for my diet.

Besides, making the real thing isn't that hard to do.

But if you want to see lazy, take a look at my work room...

which include in them jalapeños and queso fresco. Topped with bacon.

Sweet potato puffs.

And we are making homemade cookies and cream frozen yogurt using the last of the apple cider donut oreos and mixing in some caramel sauce at the last minute.

I've been playing Advent music all afternoon. Started with Handel's "Messiah" by Voces8 and the Consort of Ancient Music. In my next life I'm going to be born a soprano so I can sing "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth". I have just never been able to hit those damn high notes in this life.

The squash was orange, so I had to look it up to be sure of the variety.

Costco had a sweet deal on pork loin last week. $8 off the label price of a very large hunk of meat, ready to slice. If my freezer were larger I would have purchased 2!

I now have four just right for 2 people roasts, a smaller piece that can be carved up for green chile stew and 3 thick chops.

The vacuum sealed chicken breast were $4 off the label price.
