Breaded fish filets. I made three kinds using the herb/spice mixtures from Eric Ripert and Lev Sercarz. I used different breadings, too.
1. Corn grits with "Izak," #37, which has sweet chili peppers, garlic, and cumin.
2. Panko with "Shabazi," #38, with green chilis, cilantro, and garlic
3. Cornflakes whirled in the blender, with "Yagenbori," sesame, orange, and chili.
I'm also making shrimp to go with them.
I started making these last night and ran out of time.
Tossed green salad using red leaf lettuce, Boston, and a little iceburg for crispiness. Tomatoes and scallions plus pepitas, toasted walnuts, and almond slivers on top.
For dessert, a big mug of white chocolate.

(22,767 posts)We go into town once a week to pick up our grocery order and run other errands, getting them done in a single trip. (We did it today to get ahead of the winter storm that's rolling in tonight.) It always just knocks the snot outta me for the rest of the day, so it's my night off in the kitchen.
We're having a Red Baron frozen pepperoni pizza with added cheese and pepperoni.

I cooked for Dad and Sis tonight. They had lemon pepper shrimp, pesto pasta, and sauteed yellow squash.

(10,136 posts)We ordered in some food from a local Sichuan place on Sunday: the "fish with pickled vegetables", a new dish for them, turned out to be totally unlike what I expected, fish soup with a delicious broth. I've learned to make a creditable ma po tofu during the pandemic, so I'm making that and dry-braised string beans to supplement the soup.
