Related: About this forumLunch & an update on my brother Eds' cancer surgery today.
I had a grilled turkey & cheese on wheat bread to keep it in line with the group.
Ed was in surgery ~2 hrs, right kidney was removed via laparoscope. He is in his room, his wife, Kim, got to spend a bit of time with him there, but due to the f-ing Covidiots in the hospital, she gets limited time. He did post to the family text. The current plan is for Friday discharge to home.
I feel relieved.
I do not know the pathology or the extent of lymph node involvement.
The curse of knowing a bit too much from my years in radiology.
Thank you all for your kindness this morning.

(16,935 posts)My neighbor had acancerous kidney removed almost 2 years ago. His drs. said they got all of the cancer, and he is doing great. I was worried for him, because he is only around 50, but he went back to work, back to normal. Hope your brother does as well!
