Lunch & an update on my brother Eds' cancer surgery today.

I had a grilled turkey & cheese on wheat bread to keep it in line with the group.

Ed was in surgery ~2 hrs, right kidney was removed via laparoscope. He is in his room, his wife, Kim, got to spend a bit of time with him there, but due to the f-ing Covidiots in the hospital, she gets limited time. He did post to the family text. The current plan is for Friday discharge to home.
I feel relieved.
I do not know the pathology or the extent of lymph node involvement.
The curse of knowing a bit too much from my years in radiology.

Thank you all for your kindness this morning.

...and that he'll soon be discharged. Sending out juju that the pathology results are good and his healing complete.

My neighbor had acancerous kidney removed almost 2 years ago. His drs. said they got all of the cancer, and he is doing great. I was worried for him, because he is only around 50, but he went back to work, back to normal. Hope your brother does as well!
