Zucchini-ricotta-sage fritters. Usually I make these with sage flowers but sage is not yet in bloom.
Tossed green salad with fresh cut Simpson lettuce from my plot at the community garden. Yes, even though I am the director, I still have a plot. It's supposed to be a "model" and an inspiration to other gardeners. It usually is, but not always. Pics coming soon!
It is salad paradise over there with arugula, Simpson, buttercrunch, (AKA Boston), watercress, Batavia, iceburg. The one thing I'm unhappy about is oh oops, this is not the Garden forum so I'll shut up.
Oh oops. I can't shut up. Two words: bitter lettuces. How the hell do you use them? Ugh. And I don't mean bitter from the heat, either. Speckled collo rosso is so beautiful, but bitter.
Any ideas welcomed.
To round out a with a little protein, leftover chicken wings. Balsamic soy and regular hot wings with blue cheese and celery.
Dessert: slice of tiramisu. Cold coffee.
