that I broke about six weeks ago.

It was hard to find a replacement, but Ieventually did and this morning I am having a cup of decaf from a 12-cup brewed pot. It is so delicious.

I had been making cowboy coffee, which is OK but it's messy. Now I can say goodbye to that cleanup job.

Yay, the weekend!!! I'm perusing cookbooks for vegetarian sandwiches and pasta salads.

I baked bread the other day and added an egg to the dough for a treat. Just amazing how the egg changes the texture of the loaf. The crust is tender and the crumb is moist. I could've eaten much more toast, if I say so myself!

I use white flour, olive oil, bread machine yeast, and salt. Even with the salt, the bread toasts like Tuscan bread. I make a sponge and let it sit for an hour, then add half of the rest of the flour and knead it on the rest of the flour. After kneading, I put it in a lightly oiled loaf pan and let it rise about an hour. It does really well if I have the oven light on to warm the oven a bit.

If I put an egg in, I add it after the sponge is ready, then add the flour. I don't measure anything, but I think about 3 cups of flour makes a big loaf, and 2 cups makes a smaller loaf.

his leftover steak, sliced up and sauteed with onions and mushrooms, one OE egg and a toasted buttered English muffin.

I haven't been up long enough to feel like eating yet, but he's been outside working already this morning so I wanted to get him fed.

An ounce or two of smoked sausage.

An egg with a bit of spinach and vegan cheese.

Salad--I know, weird, but it's how I get more veggies into my diet.

Caramel & coconut coffee.
