Creamy Turkey Wild Rice Soup. Has the usual onion, carrot, celery but also sage and thyme along with the wild rice and garlic. It calls for 3 c whole milk but instead I'm also going to use mascarpone and heavy cream.
Chopped arugula, romaine, and black-seeded Simpson lettuce salad. Ginger kombucha.
My friend and fellow chocoholic brought me some Milk Chocolate Confetti Cookies, so I'll have cookies and decaf coffee for dessert.

(43,146 posts)Remember all those winter donuts? Been clean for 2.5 months, but still get the munchies, and ice cream in small amounts is the substitute.

(16,949 posts)I simmered them in soy sauce, molasses, garlic, liquid smoke, salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne for about 1 1/2 hrs. Then under the broiler. I reduced the leftover liquid to a thin sauce and poured it over the ribs after I flipped them. Pure joy

(22,767 posts)I have some country style ribs in the freezer that will be coming into rotation soon. Was going to put them in the slow cooker for BBQ pulled pork, but this sounds better.

(16,949 posts)makes tender moist ribs. I like giving them a high heat broil to crisp the fat and set the sauce. Let me know when you get to feast

I ate w/ Dad tonight. It's a good thing I did. I was going to make BLTs for Al and I, but Al isn't feeling well (sick tummy) and I get the feeling he isn't going to want a BLT.
Dad's got ice cream for dessert, as do I.

(Originally posted this last night, but deleted it because, in the end, husband decided he wasn't very hungry and just heated up the last of the mushroom pasta leftovers. Was a relief for me coz I did not feel like cooking.)
