What's for Dinner, Sat., June 25, 2022

Starting off with pierogis from the Polish deli.

Next up will be slice of cold, breaded flounder with homemade tartar sauce, lemon.

Cold layered leek-potato dish that the RG made.

Dessert: cold decaf vanilla nut and chocolate chip sandwich.

But, your flounder sounds delish! I so love fish but am in the middle of the country. Fresh fish is rare.

and a little fresh basil from my container garden. I got some English peas at the Farmers Market this morning, so that's our side.

Beef stew leftover from last night.

A fresh plum after.

Maybe a Klondike bar later

It's a work night for TJ, so all this is up to my whim.

yes, and no

Sorry if this is indelicate, but it's about his regularity. He's never been "regular," and I think the pain made compounded the problem. Then we ran into a problem when we learned that the medicine they gave him to help w/ blood coagulation meant he couldn't eat a lot of the veggies that could have helped w/ keeping him "regular."

I think now that he's off of that medicine, things will get better.

I wish I could lock up all the food when I go to bed. He's a night owl and while I'm sleeping, he tends to eat things that he should probably be avoiding.

Thanks for the update. You put it rather delicately. Hopefully things will get better.

If food was locked up at night I'd be twenty pounds lighter.

And it was good.

As it's almost 90 degrees in here (no A/C), I'm drinking lots of iced water.

leftover from the night before with extra sharp cheddar, pickles and tomato, as well as leftover fried potatoes and some Brussels sprouts.

I was hungry at lunch time so I ate my leftover burger then with a slice of tomato, but after I got dinner ready for husband, I ate corn cut off the cob and some mint chocolate chip ice cream.
