The other serving of my swordfish steak, again with basil garlic pesto. Tonight, though, I'm putting it in the oven because it's too windy to grill outside.
Love swordfish!!
Eggplant slices, breaded.
Cucumber/avocado/tomato salad.
Dessert: Banana pudding with Sweet 'n Spicy Good Earth tea.

(36,281 posts)...if we eat any dinner at all. Maybe a bowl of Xi'an noodles or something equally easy. We tend to eat one meal a day.
The Lusty Lobster seafood market in Atlantic Highlands, NJ is amazing and we scored some oysters, shrimp, clams and a lobster.
The chowder is based on a lobster broth we had and itll have some clams and shrimp as well as onions, carrots, celery and potatoes plus milk and a few herbs. Weve got a chiabata roll with butter and a spinach salad as sides. Apples and brandy for desert while we play Scrabble.
Tomorrow we sail south in the Atlantic to Manasquan, NJ. Were ready!
My daughter and grands visit beach near Manasquan. Is that along Long Beach Island?
The Jersey coast and then further south is all new to me as a sailor. Like everywhere, its complicated!

(17,004 posts)with some chicken I cooked last night, a small tomato from my garden, mixed greens, cucumber, onion, a piece of leftover bacon, cheddar, ranch and a 1/2 avocado. I had the heel off the bread I baked earlier.
Not sure if I'll have dessert or what I'll have

(413 posts)The sandwich was the Heart Attack On A Plate that we have about once a month. Grilled cheese with the addition of crisp bacon and tomato slices. My husband's favorite.
The soup was cobbled together from leftovers. Ethiopian-style yellow split peas and chicken broth. Both homemade and home-canned, used separately earlier in the week. Blended together smooth and heated, it was really very good. I may do it again sometime, not from leftovers.
