Related: About this forumUnusual fusion foods
This was prompted by lunch today at a small restaurant that billed itself as "Tapas and Ramen". Earlier this week I passed a place called "Sinaloa Sushi". We also have a local chain called Sushirito, which appears to offer Mexicanish mixtures wrapped in rice and nori. We have a large Mexican population and a good-sized Japanese one in the area, the latter largely 2nd generation and later, so the combinations sort of make sense. What sorts of fusion foods are you seeing where you live? Are any of them any good?
ETA: I completely forgot about Indian pizzas! There are several Indian-immigrant-run places in that make pizzas with toppings such as spinach, paneer, butter chicken, and other Indian specialties as well as "regular" ones. Some of them even make special pizzas for Jains! The one by me does killer achari and lemon-pepper wings as well.
