What's for Dinner, Sun., Oct. 30, 2022

Stir fry veggies with beef strips.

I'm using the usual soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, red pepper flakes sauce, which I made last night so it would all blend together for today.

Veggies are broccoli, carrots, scallions, yellow and green peppers. I'm also using some of my Thai chili peppers.

Maybe some watermelon for dessert.

Kombucha is cherry-berry.

Simple meal. Chicken Cordon Bleu (from frozen) with Brussels Sprouts. If I feel up to it, there may be some non alcoholic sparkling rose.

Coated with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. I was going to season with herbs but got sidetracked. They've turned a golden brown and have that salty, garlic crispy skin I like. One has already gone to my non-cooking neighbor.

I got a deal on these. If I recall correctly they were 7.89 for a 10 pound bag, fresh, from the little store butcher.

No plans for anything else. TJ works at the medical center tonight so I'm not motivated.

I will, however, scour the refrigerator for leftover sides. If nothing strikes my fancy. I'll just have fruit and sweet cheese or if I get in gear, a salad.

Nothing for me, at least for now. Maybe chocolate ice cream in a cake cone later.

We bought some frozen soft shell crabs last week and the time has come to cook ‘em up.

Flour the thawed crabs and sautée them in olive oil, butter and white wine till they’re golden brown. We’re having steamed asparagus and rice as sides. Cookies and a rom-com for dessert.

and a Korean-style kimchi pancake, something I learned to make during the shutdown. This is the 4th night of leftovers and I'm tired of rice.
