Note: 'Sales spiked after the popular 2009 movie Julie & Julia, Nora Ephrons last work as a writer and director, which starred Ms. Streep as Mrs. Child; Stanley Tucci as her husband, Paul; and Amy Adams as Ms. Powell.' Stanley Tucci not JUST a traveler!

(6,359 posts)that show a sizable increase in risk of both strokes and heart attacks after a bout with covid. Even a mild case.

(111,247 posts)as I bravely tackled a lot of the things in that book, like a vat of bones cooking for hours to produce what Child called the French master sauce. It was vile, I threw it out. I never did boil a hoof to get gelatin for aspic. I saw that one coming.
When the blog came out, it totally cracked me up. Julia Child taught me how to cook because my mother hated it and it showed, but it was never smooth sailing.
So thanks, Julie Powell, you will be missed.
