danny trejo is not just another pretty face... that goes without saying. that said, i was surprised to see that he had released a cook book. naturally, poor impulse control took over and i went out and bought it. trejo's tacos is not an encyclopediac treatise on mexican food, which is fine by me. the diversity of his recipes is pretty nice and i can honestly say that i hadn't expected recipes for doughnuts. this recipe is el machete's version of a1 steak sauce.

(2,223 posts)Lots of omg moments/recipes/stories. El machete is one of the good ones.
You can adjust the heat as you see fit, but it is fine and I have next to zero tolerance for spices foods.

(2,223 posts)The recipe calls for you to remove the ribs, seeds and the stems from the peppers, thats where all the heat come from. I mean if you want to leave the bed go right ahead however, if you want to reduce the heat lose the seeds and the stems and ribs
