What's for Dinner, Sun., Dec. 4, 2022

Vegetable soup to which I added cheese tortellini and a little chicken sausage. Tomato based with lots of roasted garlic.

Warm biscuits with olive oil butter and pumpernickel bread.

Shrimp salad. The shrimp is baked in butter and garlic and after it cools off, I add it to the salad. The salad also has avocado and lots of different types of radishes: red, daikon, black radish, too.

Dessert will be chocolate mint Greek yogurt and decaf French roast coffee.

if I feel up to eating.

So cold that I just can't get warm and I just want to get under the blankets, so just having water and a mocha right now (my usual with stevia.) Don't know what I'm going to do when the temps really start dropping.

The First Mate brought back a big bag of take out when she returned from her afternoon walk.

Cups of Hot and Sour soup.

Egg roll with Chinese mustard and duck sauce.

Moo Shoo Pork with Hoison sauce and pancakes. Brown rice on the side.

Fortune cookies, of course but we have some Ben and Jerry's left in the freezer!

Tomorrow we're heading south in the Intracoastal Waterway towards Wilmington, NC. It'll take us about 3 days and we'll be at anchor each night so I'll see y'all when we get internet access again!

(Moi, disappointing Indian/Pakistani place 40? miles away, related to another closer to home near Solomons, so now Hamid and I will be disappointed for a while; may ask him to bring 'take out' for me/us on his next trip.)

See y'all!

We just got back from our monthly shop. I don't have it in me to do too much more than to doctor up a frozen pizza.

pepperoni, ground beef, onion, pepper and extra cheese

I had a candy bar while I was out. So no dessert for me. Al will probably have some ice cream.

buffalo wings are hot. i can't do HOT. i am a supper taster. i can do burger king's chicken fingers. after two HOT pieces, fuck it. i got some oranges marmalade, added some raspberry preserves + a spoonful of CRANBERRY honey + mixed it up + warmed it up. from watching chef ramsey on hot ones + mentioning sweet + it really helped. made a nice sweet sauce. i could put the leftovers on toast.

i got raspberry jam to mix w/ wild-blueberry preserves. straight blueberry boring. i was testing other honey's. i do wildflower for hay fever. cranberry honey is the mildest i find. better than clover. now i have extra raspberry + i like it w/ orange marmalade more.
