So I bought a Hamilton Beach steamer, and only after the fact did I begin to

ask questions. The plastic lids and dish is suppose to be BPA free, but the counter to that argument is that plastic that is BPA free has another material that is even worse, as far as carcinogens go.

So, should I pack it up and return it?

Here's a link with info.

they take up a lot less space in the kitchen and can be used in pots of different sizes. Warning - after about 30 years the metal "flowers" on mine started falling off!

and you can use any other dish that fits into it.

My own steamer is a Chinese bamboo steamer that fits into a small frypan if I'm using the wok for something else. It's 100% natural and the steamed bamboo smells great while the food is cooking.
