Related: About this forumSubstitute for Evaporated Milk
I was preparing a recipe that required Evaporated Milk (which I didn't have) and found this substitue. It worked great!
2/3 cups nonfat dry milk
¾ cups water
Mix together. Makes 1 cup

(9,992 posts)2. Good to know,
I always have non-fat dry milk on hand now. We don't drink/use regular milk, but I use the dry stuff for my tomatoes in the spring/summer/fall and usually have enough left over for using in recipes during the dairy-craving days of winter.
Thanks for the tip!
